
The International Association of Wood Anatomists (IAWA), an association dedicated to raise awareness of the place of wood anatomy in science, technology and in the conservation of environmental resources. IAWA just published their latest newsletter and we are happy to help spread the good word out.
This issue highlights the outcomes of recent events such as the World Wood Day Foundation symposium in Cambodia. This symposium addressed diverse topics from historical use and cultural values of wood , to innovation and practice. WWD 2019 will take place in Austria and will be convened by IAWA.
The newsletter covers the upcoming tree ring conference in Bhutan, which will extend a special invitation to those working in developing countries, and on climate change impacts in mountain environments. It also contains information about the Gordon Research Conference, the Phytologist Symposium and the Botany conference in USA, Plant Biology 2018 in Canada, the European Palaeobotany & Palynology Conference in Ireland, and other research related events happening around the world.
